The Sisters’ Silence
By Arayah Isha’ell Ayana Surima • 24/6/2026 • Dedicated to my little sister
Once upon a time there were three sisters.
They came from different tribes through different mothers, but all came of the same father, as the three tribes were connected as One.
One sister Dreamed, the second sister Spoke and the third sister Acted.
When together, they brought Form into Being from the dream worlds into the hard worlds.
They created and uncreated always in accordance with what they understood as their Law of One. Because of their unique talents, each of them became the esteemed leader of their tribe.
They travelled often with their individual tribes. All were happiest when physically together at special events; nearly every full moon and upon the change of the seasons, when the tribes of their mothers gathered.
The tribes valued each of the sister’s individual talents and yet they all knew their coming together was what truly created the magic, abundance and balance for everyone.
One such Tribal Gathering was the annual Lions Descent, starting just before the Leo New Moon. The festivities of this celebration lasted for several weeks. And by the time the Aquarius full moon arrived in the sky, marking the end of this particular feast, an uninvited guest arrived.
And as was the custom of the tribes, they welcomed the stranger in the honorary way and asked him to participate in the celebrations.
Throughout the night each of the sisters in turn danced with the handsome man, and listened to his enchanting tales of faraway places, strange creatures, food in readymade containers, tall buildings rising to the sky, ropes that carried lightening into people’s dwellings, fire that gave heat but didn’t burn, and words that carried over long distances; not by thoughts but through tools. And the tales went on and on.
About medicine that didn’t come from nature and clothes you didn’t make yourself.…
And as the night progressed, the sisters became more and more enchanted by the tales of this magical world their guest was describing.
By the time morning approached, the stranger had disappeared as mysteriously as he had arrived. The sisters came together to speak excitedly about what they had heard from him.
They wanted to find this world with their minds and special powers to witness for themselves all those strange and wonderful things, in the hope to recreate them for their own tribes to enjoy.
But as it was, a really unusual situation occurred. For the first time in their entire lives, the sisters could not use their special powers to execute their plan. What one sister dreamed, the second couldn’t speak or sing of, and the third couldn’t manifest into being.
They decided that the concept of this world must be so alien that they couldn’t grasp it in a coherent way. They made the decision for each of them to physically travel in opposite directions from each other, as far as their tribes dared to venture, in search of this new world.
They would then send thought to each other as soon as one of them found the new world, upon which the other two and their tribes would follow so they would be re-united once again.
Many moons passed and the sisters had ventured further and further away from each other and from their former center of existence. Each tribe grew weary of the search and the members of the first tribe started having bad dreams and dark visions.
Harsh tones and quarrels broke out among the second tribe and the members of the third tribe started misbehaving and acting out.
For the first time all tribes experienced feelings of pain and despair. With this new sense of separation washing over them, a strange unease grew amongst them.
Yet these gentle peoples who were known for their positivity and strength persevered, still following their leaders faithfully. They continued to search for the unknown treasures in their quest for a happy outcome.
Until one day, beneath a Scorpio full moon, something occurred that had never happened before. The three sisters stopped hearing one another.
And as the light of the Scorpio moon illuminated the vastness of the distances between them, they each realized something they had never imagined possible. They could no longer feel where one sister’s mind ended and the other’s began. Instead, there was an empty silence. A void of separation.
At first they thought the separation was temporary.
Perhaps it was a thunderstorm causing disruption in the thought-streams.
Perhaps it was the distance.
Perhaps their tiredness caused it.
But moon after moon passed, and the strange silence remained.
For the first time in their entire lives, they felt utterly alone.
And in that isolation they discovered longing.
And in longing they discovered grief.
And in their grief they discovered attachment.
Each sister became convinced the only solution was to continue searching as to turn back now would mean openly admitting that the whole tribe’s suffering would have been useless. And so they pushed on.
And with every step, the world of forgetting grew vaster. The emptiness grew louder. Moon after moon passed and the silence of solitude remained.
The first sister, who dreamed, could no longer find beautiful visions. When she closed her eyes she saw fragments only. Broken worlds. Strange images. Towers with lights and objects without meaning. She became afraid to fall asleep and sink into the bottomless well of her terror dreams where she had forgotten that dreams were meant to guide, not govern.
The second sister, who spoke, found that her words no longer carried life. Her songs became louder but emptier. She spoke more often, yet listened and understood less. Eventually she and her tribe learned to fill the silence with endless noise so they would not have to face the empty sky forever expanding behind their words.
The third sister who acted could still create through doing, but she no longer knew what or who she was creating for. Her people became efficient at producing, yet restless without having meaning in their making. They built and built and built, but every completion seemed to open to more of the vast desert before them.
Many seasons passed in this way. Children were born who had never known The Gathering. Stories of the other tribes started to become legends. And still none of the sisters had found the world the stranger had described.
One evening, the first sister stopped her search to sit alone beside a still lake, over-lit by a Taurus blue moon that looked thinner than her memory itself. She felt utterly exhausted and eerily outside her own inner dream landscape. For the first time since leaving, she felt no desire to keep searching.
She did not know what to dream.
She did not dare try reach her sisters’ minds and fail again.
So, she simply sat, too far removed from herself to care, staring into the still reflection of the lake’s dark surface. Tears running silently down her cheeks.
And then in the great silence she felt something stir. A movement from deep within the lake began to rise up.
Not a thought.
Not a vision.
A remembering.
A feeling beneath all feelings. Held there by Life herself. Tugging on a thread tied softly to her heart.
And as her heart began to stir, she realised something impossible.
The world the stranger had spoken of…
was not ahead of them.
It had never been ahead of them.
It was growing behind them. As a trail of broken mirror glass scattered across their world. A path to separation, as they had created it.
Every dream abandoned.
Every word disconnected from truth.
Every action separated from meaning.
Piece by piece.
They themselves had been seeding it, every time a piece of their Connection had broken off.
Not because they were wrong.
Not because they were foolish.
But because they had forgotten the order.
Dream.
Speak.
Act.
Not act.
Speak.
Dream.
The stranger had not lied.
He had simply shown them a world where the sisters no longer worked together.
Where The Dream had become ambition.
Where The Word had become persuasion.
And where The Action had become production.
Without knowing it, they had formed a path into separation.
The first sister wept.
Not from grief this time.
But from relief.
She realised that if they had created this world…
They could undo it too!
So she finally sent out one coherent thought.
Not a message from her mind.
No directions.
Only this from her Heart;
“Return back home!”
Across mountains and plains and deserts and forgotten lands, the Heart Thought reached the second sister.
The moment she felt it, she became silent.
And for the first time in all that time that had passed, she listened.
The call Home also reached the third sister.
She immediately put down her tools. And rested for a moment until the beam of Love calling her back became too strong to ignore…
Without discussion.
Without maps.
All three got up.
And began walking. Their individual tribes, feeling the same change, following along.
Not so much towards a specific place.
But towards one another.
The journey Home had started, yet progress was slow initially.
Each tribe carried many things they had gathered, made, and collected. Much of it had to be laid down along the way.
But as the distance between the sisters shortened, energies softened. Bodies, minds and abilities grew stronger and the world felt lighter.
The dreams became clearer. Words regained meaning. Actions regained purpose.
And when all three finally met again, something profoundly simple occurred.
No fireworks.
No treasures.
No magical occurrences.
Only grass growing greener.
The sun shining brighter.
Children laughing loudly.
People sleeping soundly.
Meals tasting richer.
Songs sounding fuller.
Hearts feeling content.
Minds thinking clearly.
Lovers finding each other.
And every person present felt a strange sensation in their chest since their Home-coming;
a breaking down of walls, followed by the sudden realization they had returned somewhere from where they had never truly left.
That night beneath a Virgo full moon, all three sisters understood.
The hard worlds and the dream worlds had never been separate.
They were bridged.
And they themselves, being as One, had always been that Bridge.
So, from then onward, every now and then, when they felt the call, they ventured out again.
Still Dreaming.
Speaking.
Acting.
Creating and Undoing.
But always with their Oneness in Mind.
And whenever strangers arrived with stories of distant wonders, they welcomed them warmly. Letting their stories inspire them to consider new possibilities.
But before following any new path, the sisters always asked:
Will this path bring us closer together…
or teach us to forget?
And that very question, became their new foundation.
The path of The Way of One…
A Journey not into Silence but into Remembering.
